Need Sleep? Try My Hummy + GIVEAWAY

This is a collaborative post.

So during my pregnancy I slept a luscious 12 hours a night, it was so wonderful, a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical. I was so refreshed, even with the amount of times I got up to pee. It was the life. But this, this is not the life. How dare babies rudely wake us up countless times through the night?! Do they not appreciate everything we do for them?! Course not.

Something I appreciate is a product like this. A non-stop white noise making machine. Best. Invention. Ever. This product has so many features compared to other white noise sleep aids. Firstly, their new models are Bluetooth (what?!). You can control every function from your phone, from another room… Like you can do it from your bed. Your bed. Your bed. Everything from turning it off/on, changing the volume, duration of sound and the sleep sensor. It also half has itself as a baby monitor. It will send you a notification when your baby starts to whimper or cry (can I press ignore on that notification?). This is literally a step up technology wise compared to others on the market.

You have five choices of white noise to choose from. So sit your baby down and ask them which they’d prefer to have their cries drowned out too. Your baby has the choice of, amniotic fluid with heartbeat, sea waves, rainfall, hair dyer or hoover. Why are babies so odd? Who would enjoy falling to sleep with a hair dryer or hoover going off?! I honestly couldn’t think of anything worse but whatever floats the boat.

You simply set up the little heart speaker with the app on your Bluetooth device and off you go. Easy as pie. An extra feature that I’ve noticed on the app is that it tells you how much battery is left in your My Hummy. No mid-night search for more batteries because you already know how much is left in there. I highly recommend buying some rechargeable batteries and a charger. The My Hummy takes 3 AAA batteries. When we used a previous sleep aid the batteries would be flat after about a week of being on all night every night. Be cost effective. You could be using this product for about 730 nights straight. A quick charge up every few days will keep you sane and your pocket heavier.

This product has worked a treat on our Theodore. Our old sleep aid would turn itself off after an allotted time, and between it turning off and for it to restart after hearing Theodore whimper was just too much time which unsettled him, meaning we would have to get up and soothe him ourselves. So this all-night feature is something else, and certainly worth every penny. The heartbeat is Theodore’s speciality chosen sound, but to be honest I think it sends us off to sleep too. We currently don’t use the app too much as he is still in our room so we can easily hear him ourselves. But in a couple months he’ll be in his own room which is when we will make great use of the app.

I bet this would be perfect for so many parents and parent’s to be! Imogen’s frightened of white noises so badly, I can’t remember the last time I dried my hair with a hairdryer! Going to let my pregnant friends know.

Ive heard so many great things, thankfully I’ve managed to get Stanley into a routine now and he’s sleeping well (please god tell me I haven’t jinxed it now ?) but I really could have done with something like this when he was smaller…..it took me the best part of 14 months to get him to sleep ?? the technology sounds incredible!!!

I think I had one of these when Ru was a newborn and it didn’t work for us, I don’t know if it was this specific brand but it was a similar concept. It was meant to go off when he cried and never did so I’ll never know if they work haha!
